Insect Collecting Techniques This is a new series of videos that show the tips and techniques used by professionals. The target audience is graduate students, professional entomologists, amateur entomologists, and classroom teachers. It is currently hosted here.
Corn Pest Management Designed for growers and scouts, this series explains scouting for corn borers, corn rootworms, and spider mites. It also has three videos that explain the corn breeding program centered at Lubbock. There are four videos in the series.
Peanut Pest Management This 10-video series discusses peanut diseases, insects, scouting, and other aspects of production on the High Plains. It also has a video that explains how to assess peanut maturity for harvest.
Sorghum Production Sorghum midge, greenbug, iron chlorosis, row spacing, and varietal considerations from Roy Parker and Steve Livingston at Corpus Christi.
Cotton Production Sampling techniques, major pests, and beneficial species are covered.
Growing Roses on the High Plains Lubbock rosarians go on-camera to explain rose planting and care in the unique environment found on the High Plains. There are seven videos in the series.
Alfalfa

Practical Alfalfa Considerations for West Texas: A Consultant's View. Sharon Cox, a crop consultant based in Lamesa, covers many aspects of growing alfalfa on the southern High Plains.

Sunflower Basics There are two short videos that explain how to estimate percent sunflower bloom and time insecticide applications for head moth control.
People Place Alley Garden These videos are taken from the very popular 1978 Lubbock television series that showed how to grow vegetables in an "alley garden". The information presented is as valuable today as it was in 1978.
Forensic Entomology This video is part of a forensic entomology teaching project being assembled by Dr. Jeff Tomberlin, Extension Entomologist at Stephenville. The video documents the decomposition of a pig over the course of two weeks in 2005.
Breeding Drought Tolerant and Pest Resistant Corn
Look into the corn breeding program and see what is new. The latest video is a virtual tour of the 2006 Drought Tolerant Corn Field Day at Kress. Our breeding program is making great strides in providing high yielding corn that can be grown on much less water than standard hybrids.
