Expertise

Andy Hudspeth began working for the Texas Agricultural Research & Extension Center as an undergraduate student worker in May of 2001. When he first started he worked for the Soil Fertility group led by Kevin Bronson and was involved in doing soil extractions and a wide variety of fertilization methods. After working in the soil lab for a little over a year, Hudspeth then started working for the peanut physiology group led by Dr. Mike Schubert. He assists Research Associate, Jacob Reed, by evaluating fields, grading peanuts for quality, collecting site-specific yeild data using a Peanut Yield Monitoring System, and collecting soil samples to test for soil nutrients. He is also be involved in several other manual labor activities including planting and harvesting peanuts. Andy plans to get his degree in ESS from Texas Tech University in the near future.
